Secure release and clear policy terms

Shipping and returns for precious metal orders.

Gold delivery deserves more than a tracking number. This page explains collection, insured shipping, vault transfer, signature requirements, package inspection, market-risk cancellations and buyback-style returns.

Custody sequence

From reserved metal to signed delivery.

The strongest shipping policy is built around chain of custody. That means the product is checked, matched to invoice, packaged discreetly, dispatched through an approved route and released only when signature or collection requirements are satisfied.

Order matched

Product description, weight, quantity, serial number where applicable and release method are reconciled to the paid invoice.

Package prepared

Items are packed with tamper-aware handling, internal cushioning and no visible precious-metal language on the outer package.

Tracking issued

When shipping is used, the client receives tracking or release confirmation once the package has entered the approved delivery route.

Signature closes transit

Insurance normally applies while the parcel is in transit and may cease after signature, delivery confirmation or approved collection.

Inspection on arrival

What clients should do when gold arrives.

Precious metals should be inspected calmly and quickly. The aim is not to open sealed assay packaging unnecessarily, but to confirm that the package, paperwork and product description match the order.

Photograph the parcel

Take photos before opening if the outer packaging shows dents, tears, water exposure or tampering.

Check invoice details

Confirm product type, quantity, weight, purity, refiner or mint and serial numbers against the invoice.

Do not discard packaging

Keep outer and inner packaging until you are satisfied the order is complete and undamaged.

Report quickly

Contact the desk the same day if a parcel appears damaged, missing, misdelivered or inconsistent.

Important terms

Clear delivery terms before release.

Sovereign Gold House confirms the delivery route, insured value, dispatch timing, order limits, claim procedure and recipient details before precious metal leaves the desk.

  • Shipping fees are quoted before payment so the client understands the full order cost.
  • Risk transfer is tied to the chosen release route: collection, signature, vault acceptance or delivery confirmation.
  • Opened packaging, altered condition or missing documents can affect buyback, returns or exchange eligibility.
Is every shipment insured?

Insured delivery is arranged by quote. Coverage depends on the order value, route, carrier terms and destination.

Can I ship to a hotel or temporary address?

For precious metals, delivery should go only to verified residential, business, vault or approved collection addresses unless the desk authorises another route.

Can someone collect on my behalf?

Third-party collection should require advance written approval, recipient identity checks and a signed release record.

Can I return gold if the price drops?

No. Market movement is not normally a return reason. A buyback quote may be offered at the desk's current bid terms.
